jTips is full of cool features. From automatic email reminders, to per round user comments; multiple simultaneous competitions and support for an unlimited number of users!
Multiple Competitions
Cater for all your website users by running more than one competition at the same time. All sports are not made the same, so jTips allows you to configure your scoring system and features for each competition. Let your user pick and chose which competition(s) they want to participate.
DoubleUP
Keep your competitions close, every one can stay in the game with a chance, with DoubleUP. Each user can pick one round per competition in which their total score for that round is doubled! Be careful though, once you've used your DoubleUP, it's gone... for that competition.
PrecisionScore
Prevent users ending up on the same score at the end or a round, and especially at the end of a competition. Use PrecisionScore in conjunction with Pick the Score and/or Pick the Margin to determine which user has the highest accuracy in their tips! PrecisionScore is exclusive to jTips!
OneClick Upgrades
Keep your jTips system up-to-date with OneClick Upgrades. With one click you can check for a new version of jTips, and with one click your jTips system is automatically updated to the latest available version. Updates provide fixes and additional features.
More Than Just Tips
jTips is much more than just picking the winner of a game. Let your users pick the exact score of each game, or a selection of games. You can also let your users pick the margin of each game, or a selection of games. You can even let your user pick which team, or teams, will be awarded any bonus points for their game! Of course, users can also pick a draw as a result.
Comments and BadWords
If enabled, users can add a comment for each round. Comments are displayed on competition ladders after the round has been finalised. You can prevent users from submitting unwanted words or phrases in their comments with BadWords. BadWords filters can either replace words and/or phrases, or completely prevent the comment from being saved!
Social Integration
jTips can be integrated with the either the Community Builder or JomSocial components for Joomla!. User names can be linked directly to profile pages in Community Builder and JomSocial. Additionally, profile photos are shown in all competition ladders.
AutoEmail Reminders
Make sure your users know when to submit their tips by enabling the AutoEmail Reminders feature. Setup a specified time and day (or days) each week and users that have opted to receive email reminders will be sent an email so that they never forget to submit their tips!
Payment Support
Track payments in jTips with either manual payments or PayPal integration. Add your PayPal code to your jTips configuration and users can pay for competition participation using PayPal or credit card. You can even enable subscription style payments so that user payments are made on a predetermined interval.
